Study Tour of Beef Cattle Cluster Supervised by Fapet UB and Bank Indonesia of East Java Province to Bengkel Ternak Yogyakarta

The Faculty of Animal Science of Brawijaya University (Fapet UB), in collaboration with Bank Indonesia of East Java Province, conducted a study tour to Bengkel Ternak in Yogyakarta. This activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and insights of farmers and foster collaboration between farmer groups and Bengkel Ternak.

The participants of this study tour included Dr. Nanang, Dr. Eko Nugroho, Ph.D., and Dr. Aulia from Fapet UB, along with Hani Rizkia Putri and Yani Sudjianto from Bank Indonesia. Additionally, representatives from farmer groups, such as Kelompok Ternak Karya Maju Sejati (Tuban), KTT Maju Bersama (Bojonegoro), and KTT Ustan Mandiri (Bojonegoro), also attended.

The agenda of the activity included training on optimizing beef cattle farming and field visits to all development areas of Bengkel Ternak. During the training, participants received practical and theoretical knowledge about the latest techniques in effective and efficient beef cattle farming.

The field visits were conducted to observe firsthand the farming and livestock management processes at Bengkel Ternak. Participants had the opportunity to discuss and share experiences with local farmers who have successfully implemented innovative farming methods.

The expected outcomes of this activity include providing positive impacts for the farmers, with the hope that the knowledge gained can be shared with other members of the farmer groups. Additionally, this activity aims to foster closer collaboration and cooperation between the farmer groups and Bengkel Ternak, thereby improving the quality and productivity of beef cattle farming in their respective regions.

Through this study tour, Fapet UB and Bank Indonesia of East Java Province hope to promote better and more sustainable development of the livestock sector in Indonesia. (MT)
