SMADHA GOES TO CAMPUS 2023: Visit of SMA Satya Dharma Balung Jember to the Faculty of Animal Science, UB

As part of the “SMADHA GOES TO CAMPUS 2023” initiative, 71 students and 15 accompanying teachers from SMA Satya Dharma Balung Jember visited the Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijaya (UB). The visit aimed to provide students with insights into university life, academic programs, and opportunities within the Faculty of Animal Science at UB.

Mu’arifah, S.Pd, the school principal, expressed gratitude for the opportunity for her students to explore the university environment. “This visit aims to broaden students’ horizons and inspire them to pursue higher education. We appreciate the warm reception from the Faculty of Animal Science at UB,” said Mu’arifah.

Representing the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Ir. Wike Andre Septian, S.Pt., M.Si., a lecturer from the faculty, facilitated the campus tour and introductory session. The event commenced with an in-depth introduction to the faculty, highlighting academic programs, research initiatives, and available facilities for students, including information on scholarships offered by Universitas Brawijaya.

During the visit, students engaged in interactive sessions, gaining insights into various disciplines within animal husbandry, such as livestock management, animal nutrition, and veterinary science. Additionally, they were introduced to laboratory facilities, research centers, and practical learning environments that equip students with essential skills and knowledge in the field.

“We are delighted to host students and teachers from SMA Satya Dharma Balung Jember. Our aim is to provide them with an overview of university life, our academic offerings, and exciting opportunities within the Faculty of Animal Science,” expressed Ir. Wike Andre Septian.

The visit concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students to inquire further about academic programs, admission procedures, and career prospects in the field of animal Science. This event served as a valuable platform for students to interact with faculty members, gain insights into university life, and explore potential pathways for their academic and professional futures.
