Dean Officially Opens New Student Development Program and PKBR Activities

As a follow-up activity to the Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB), the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a New Student Development Program (Probin Maba) and Religion-Based Character Development (PKBR). This activity is structured character development and is intended for new students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry 2023.

This activity, which has been running since 2015, will be held every Saturday for one semester or throughout the odd semester of FY. 2023/2024. The goal is fostering students in participating in academic activities, socializing the ethics of campus life, building personal character, and religious-based cooperation. In order to form attitudes and increase devotion to God Almighty.

The activity was officially opened by Prof. M. Halim Natsir as Dean with a symbolic beating of the gong, Sunday (17/9/2023). The 706 participants were divided into three rooms, namely the 8th floor auditorium room, the 6th floor senate meeting room, and the 5th floor seminar room based on PKKMB groups.

Prof. Halim said that good students are students who excel in academics and have character and morals. Knowledge and skills can be learned in college, while attitudes need to be formed to develop character and personality with good morals.

After the opening motivator H. Paso Deka Dewanto, M.Sc. presented to provide motivation for success for new students. He delivered the material with enthusiasm and lots of jokes which livened up the atmosphere, greeted with enthusiasm by the participants. (dta)
