Initiation Fapet Introduces Livestock Products Closer by Drinking Milk Together

Milk is a livestock product that has perfect nutritional value, such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and complete amino acid content. Protein in milk is the best nutrition to complement the lack of nutrients from daily food sources. So that milk becomes a perfect five food source. The content in milk is very good for various ages. For the age of students and students can educate the brain and repair tissue cells.

Milk is the backbone of the food sector worldwide. Thus livestock plays a central role in providing high-quality products and establishing a sustainable economy. The step to support efforts to advance Indonesian livestock is to carry out animal husbandry sciences in universities.

This was conveyed by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Prof. M. Halim Natsir, while closing the 2023 introduction to campus life for new students (PKKMB), Sunday (20/8/2023). Together with the Dean’s staff, he invited new students to drink milk together. According to men becoming a part of the animal husbandry actors, it is appropriate to know the benefits of livestock products and get used to consuming them.

  “You have officially become students of the Faculty of Animal Science, so you become part of the animal husbandry actors from educational institutions. Let’s together advance the national livestock.” said Halim

PKKMB activities at Fapet UB are held for two days, Saturday-Sunday (19-20/8/2023). On the first day the participants, totaling 706 new students, were introduced to the leadership and material related to academics, finance, and student affairs. The next day they were treated to information about the specializations in Fapet UB, UKM, and the success stories of alumni who have careers in the industry or entrepreneurs in the livestock sector.
