UB Faculty of Animal Science Lecturer Accompanying PKK, Pakis District, Malang Regency Processing Food Products from Livestock Rich in Nutrition

The lecturer of Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet UB) who is part of the community service team visited Pakis District – Malang Regency. They consist ofDr. Dedes Amertaningtyas (chairman), fallowmembers Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc., Dr. Aris Sri Widati, Dr. Eny Sri Widyastutik, and Dr. Imam Thohari

The visit was in the context of implementing a training program and assisting in the processing of nutritious livestock food products without preservatives. The program targets, which will be implemented from February to June 2023, are PKK cadres and members RT.03 RW.10 Sekarpuro Village, Pakis District – Malang Regency.

PThe food processing of livestock products taught includes chicken nuggets, tofu meatballs, yogurt and salted eggs. The head of the PKK, Hariyani, S.Pt.said that currently the Sekarpuro Village is fighting against stunting. So he hopes that this program can be one of the efforts to improve family nutrition and minimize stunting.

In line with the objectives of the community service program conveyed by Dr. Dedes, namely pIncreasing the skills of PKK cadres in the long term is expected to be able to increase family nutritional adequacy. Of course, with quality food that is rich in nutrients without preservatives and the level of hygiene is guaranteed. (tim/dta)
