Apprentice candidate for Northern Territory Indonesia 360(NTI 360) entered the final selection stage, Wednesday (12/7/2023).That is an interview with representatives Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA), Association of Indonesian Animal Husbandry Scholars (ISPI), Lecturer of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), and program alumni.
Located in the meeting room on the 8th floor of Faculty of Animal Science UB, the participants who passed to this stage were 12 students. It consists of four Fapet UB students, three Muhammadiyah University Malang students, and five Agricultural Development Polytechnic students in Malang.
The NTI 360 internship program is a collaboration between the Indonesian Association of Animal Husbandry Scholars (ISPI) and the Australian breeder organization, NTCA. The implementation will be carried out for 10 weeks starting in August 2023. Materials participants will receive include intensive herding industry training, animal welfare and handling, as well as experiential learning through placements on selected company and family managed cattle ranches across northern Australia.
This program, which has been in existence since 2012, is designed to provide practical and hands-on learning, build and expand relationships, and cultural exchange of the beef cattle industry between Indonesia and Northern Australia. Besides that, it is also an effort to provide international knowledge and insights in the field of animal husbandry for Indonesian animal husbandry students. (dta)
