Faculty of Animal Science Receives Visit from Palangkaraya University Students

Students of the Animal Husbandry Study Program at the University of Palangkaraya (UPR) visited the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Wednesday (24/5/2023). The activity which was attended by 45 students was in the framework of integrated course practice and student excursions. As well as the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between Fapet UB and the Faculty of Agriculture, the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, UPR Animal Husbandry Study Program.

Located on the 6th floor Gd.VPKS signed by the dean of both parties. They agreed cooperation in the context of implementing the tri dharma of higher education. Such as student exchange, research and publication together, as well as the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program.

Dean of Faculty of Animal Science UB, Prof. Halim in his remarks explained Fapet’s efforts to gain an international reputation, one of which is diligent cooperation with overseas universities to conduct research and joint publications, lecturer and student exchanges, internship programs, and short courses (summer courses). So he hopes that UPR students can join the student exchange program and summer course at Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB.

The visit ended with a visit to a field laboratory located in Sumber Sekar Hamlet, Dau – Malang Regency. They wanted to know about the cultivation of laying hens using a closed house cage system, as well as the management of cattle and goats. (dta)
