Studying the World of Animal Husbandry Students of MAN 18 East Jakarta Visit Faculty of Animal Science UB

Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) received a school visit from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 18 East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/3/2023). Located in the Auditorium on the 8th floor, 159 students and 22 accompanying teachers participated. They were welcomed by Rizki Prafitri, Ph.D. (Vice Dean I) and Wike Andre Septian, M.Sc. (lecturer representative).

Kiki said that the job opportunities for Fapet graduates are to be involved in the livestock industry and create innovations in modern farming. Because the theory learned during college is about renewable technology, genetics, reproduction, feed, to the processing of livestock products and sales strategies. Therefore, a graduate of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry does not mean becoming a farmer of cattle, goats, chickens or ducks in the traditional way.

Then to introduce more deeply about the programs offered to the facilities, the Faculty profile presentation was continued by Wike Andre Septian, M.Sc. Currently, the Faculty of Animal Science UB has five interests, including livestock production, livestock reproduction and breeding, livestock socio-economics, nutrition and animal feed, and livestock product technology. While the learning support facilities are laboratories, field laboratories, teaching farms, and entrepreneur teaching centers.

The visiting participants, both students and accompanying teachers, enthusiastically listened to the Fapet profile introduction. They also actively interact asking about the selection to enter UB through achievement to be independent. (dta)
