Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held the 2nd national seminar on research results and community service (HPPM), Tuesday (29/11/2022). The theme that was carried out was “Strengthening Research and Community Service for the Development of Entrepreneurial Culture and the Livestock Industry”. The activity was carried out online as part of the 61st Anniversary of Fapet UB and was attended by 70 groups from various institutions.
According to Ria Dewi A., M.Sc. as a chairman, the purpose of holding this seminar is to facilitate scientists to contribute to conveying aspirations based on the results of research activities and community service, in order to build sustainable animal husbandry. As well as the socialization and publication of the work of lecturers, researchers, students and other parties so that it is known by more parties so that it can be utilized by the livestock community and industry.
The main speakers were brought in from academics and practitioners. Among them Drh. Agung Sugada (Director of Livestock Breeds and Production, Directorate General of PKH), Prof. Ali Agus (Professor of Nutrition and Animal Feed, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Gadjah Mada University), Dr. Dewi Masyithoh (PT. Kembang Joyo Sriwijaya), Prof. Muhammad Irfan Said (Professor of Animal Product Technology at Hasanuddin University), Prof. Suyadi (Professor of Animal Reproduction, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya), and Chaerudin, S.Pt (Manager Quality Control of PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Banjarmasin unit).
The areas of study discussed include production management, livestock industry systems, nutrition and animal feed, processing technology and livestock products, social, economic and livestock agribusiness, livestock health and livestock environment. (dta)
