Students of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) won special awards and silver medals from Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF), 15-22/11/2022. They are a combination of several faculties, including Fahrur Rozi (Faculty of Law), Jefry Andy Agusty (Faculty of Animal Science), Malik Fajar (Faculty of Agriculture), Nadia Sheren Maulina (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), and Rimul Azilah (Faculty of Computer Science).

UB’s team representative in the event which was attended by 30 countries presented herbal tea made from moringa, named “Morish Tea” (Moringa Oleifera Sumenep Herbal tea). The reason is that the five students came from Sumenep, Madura, which has abundant moringa plants.

Fahrur Rozi as the team leader said the product was the waste of Moringa sprigs combined with green tea. The manufacturing process is also simple without the addition of chemicals. Moringa stalks are dried and aired out of the sun for one month.

“Through this product, we are trying to introduce moringa as a local commodity in the Sumenep area. So that it can improve the economy in Sumenep Regency by developing MSME products.” said Fahrur (dta)
