University of South Australia Professor Gives Lectures for Faculty of Animal Science Students

University of South Australia Biostatistics and Molecular Bioscience Expert, Prof. Beben Benyamin again became a guest speaker in the 3 in 1 program guest lecture at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB). At this meeting he gave material on Research Collaboration and Publication, Tuesday (22/11/2022).

Beben said that good writing results from good research. This means that research conducted by students must use correct and systematic methods. 

This explanation received feedback from one of the participants who asked for minimum parameters for international journals. According to Beben, the number of research parameters is not the only thing that determines, but lies in the novelty of the research and the research must be applicable by other than the researcher. 

The theme given is very necessary for students in compiling scientific article writing as well as publication in reputable journals. This statement was made by a member of the organizer of the 3 in 1 program, Asri Nurul Huda, M.Sc. According to Asri, publication is the main requirement for graduate students at UB. Therefore, this guest lecture really provides a new perspective in terms of scientific publications. As well as motivating students to conduct quality research and produce monumental publications.

Besides that, through the 3 in 1 program guest lectures, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the number of foreign lecturers and the involvement of practitioners in meeting the learning outcomes of the courses.

Participants who joined the lecture were undergraduate program students who were taking their final semester and doing their thesis research, as well as master and doctoral program students of Fapet UB. (asr/dta)
