Fapet Also Enliven the Commemoration of the 42nd World Food Day Through the Agricultural Development Exhibition

The livestock sector is one of the contributors to national food security. Animal proteins such as milk, poultry meat, red meat and their derivatives, honey, quail eggs, and chicken eggs are livestock products produced.

Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) as animal husbandry academics participated in the agricultural development exhibition, Wednesday (19/10/2022). Located at the East Java Expo Surabaya, the event was held to celebrate the 42nd World Food Day.

 The Fapet booth served honey, yogurt, poultry feed additives, and livestock books. Deputy Dean III, Dr. Agus Susilo hopes that this activity can show that by studying animal husbandry, it can contribute to realizing national food sovereignty. Because the lectures teach students starting from production management, feed, processing livestock products, to marketing.

In line with the statement of the Governor of East Java, Dra. Hj.Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si, through the agricultural development exhibition is expected to be able to encourage the productivity of the agricultural sector in order to meet the challenges of the global food crisis.
