Fapet UB Receives Visit from Class XII Students of Trensains Muhammadiyah Sragen High School

Class XII students together with the accompanying teacher of SMA Trensains Muhammadiyah Sragen visited the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Monday (10/10/2022). Located in the Auditorium room on the 8th floor, the group of 87 students and 12 teachers was welcomed by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, Cooperation, and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Agus Susilo.

He introduced the profile of the Faculty, starting from the leadership, national and international accreditation status, facilities, curriculum, and achievements, to career paths. The participants were enthusiastic after listening to the presentation, and various questions were asked of Agus. Such as the form of support provided by the Faculty to students to take part in competitions, scholarship offers, materials studied in various interests, and career paths after becoming alumni.

“Studying on a farm does not mean that after graduation, you will herd livestock in the fields. Bachelor of Animal Husbandry has the opportunity to become an academic, researcher, manager in the livestock industry, and entrepreneur. Even if you become a farmer, you will apply managerial and modern technology,” said Agus.

The explanation was in line with the purpose of the visit of students of Trensain Muhammadiyah High School to Fapet UB. According to one of the accompanying teachers, Yudhi Purwa Nugraha, campus visits are a routine activity for class XII students to provide insight into the world of lectures. So it is hoped that when they graduate from school, they will be ready to live campus life and maximize the potential interest of talents armed with quranic science and science. (dta)
