Improving Student Competence in the Animal Husbandry Industry through Guest Lectures 

Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) continues to strive to improve the quality of learning. Starting from updating the curriculum, materials to learning methods. According to the Dean, Prof. Suyadi, one of the steps to realize this achievement is to increase student competence with the help of practitioners through guest lectures. 

 The goal is to provide students with insight into aspects and mechanization of supporting technology in companies. So that it will produce graduates who are ready to face industrialization and entrepreneurship. 

This is the basis for Fapet UB to hold a teaching practitioner event wrapped in guest lectures, Friday (9/9/2022). Located in the Auditorium room, 8th floor of Gd.V, the event was attended by undergraduate students who took the Animal Husbandry Industrial System course. Themed Feedmill Industry System, this activity is a manifestation of the 2022 Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM).

“Although the lecturer in the Animal Husbandry Industrial System course consists of several lecturers, the UTS or UASr questions will take from the material presented in the guest lecture.” explained Prof. Suyadi

“Therefore, we hope that students really pay attention and digest the material presented, if you don’t understand it, don’t be afraid to ask questions.” he continued

While the speaker is a livestock practitioner from PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, Tbk, Edyq Setijarso, ST., MT. Currently, Edyq is the General Manager of the Plant located in Krian.

He briefly conveyed the company profile of PT. CPI is spread in various regions in Indonesia, such as Medan, Lampung, Cirebon, Banten, Semarang, Krian, Throughout, and Makassar. As well as a quality management system starting from core processes, supporting, to products that are ready to be delivered to customers. (dta)
