Offering Products created by lecturers and students, Fapet UB Enlivens INAGRO Expo 2022

The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) also participated in the INAGRO Expo 2022 in Grand City, Surabaya. The event, which was held from Thursday – Sunday (11-14/8/2022), was an exhibition in the fields of agriculture and food, to encourage the construction of a resilient agricultural ecosystem in East Java.

The UB Fapet booth is right opposite the main stage, side by side with booths from other UB Faculties. Such as the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, the Faculty of Agriculture, and Non-Academic Business Entities.

There Fapet presents products made by lecturers, including yogurt, kefir, honey, poultry feed affixes, and livestock books. As well as the product of the entrepreneurship student activity unit, namely geprek chicken called thesis chicken.

Deputy Dean III, Dr. Agus Susilo said that through this exhibition event, it is hoped that it can convey to the public that gaining knowledge in the animal husbandry department does not mean only herding livestock. But delve into livestock management, product processing, feed nutrition, and its socioeconomics.

“In addition, introducing products made by lecturers and students at Fapet UB,” he continued.

One of the products on display is the addition of poultry feed (UB Feed) by lecturers attracting the attention of the Governor of East Java, Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.si. when visiting the booth. She seemed enthusiastic and explored UB Feed products, such as their benefits, properties, and rules for giving to chicken livestock. (dta)
