Lecturer at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Danung Nur Adli S. Pt., M. Pt., M. Sc. was selected to be one of the reviewers in an international journal called Elsevier. Namely, the publications indexed by Scopus from the Dutch windmill country.
He was entrusted to assess the topic with the title “Optimization of the Alternation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Maggots with Fish Meal in Broilers.” According to him, the theme of BSF larvae as a substitute for protein sources from fishmeal is indeed trending to be used. Although it is common for BSF larvae to be mentioned as an alternative source of protein with lower levels. Meanwhile, various types of black soldier larvae are the most important source of fat, not just protein.
“I was surprised because in my email there was an invitation to review the quality of the publication. The assessment process is strict because we have to follow some rules from Elsevier, such as language, the impact of the research, the suitability of the statistical content to the discussion, and the impact on the environment,” explained Danung (dta)
