MBKM Fapet UB Team Conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of Certified Internship Activities at PT. Widodo Prospering Poultry

The Independent Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM) established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, provides opportunities for students to study outside the study program. In order to improve the competencies possessed in addition to the theory that has been obtained in lectures.

The step of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) to implement it is to establish cooperation with several industries. One of them is PT. Widodo Makmur Unggas (WMU) which provides opportunities for Fapet UB students to do certified internships. Namely, internship activities for four months with different locations, such as breeding farms, hatcheries, cultivation, and chicken slaughterhouses (RPA). In the last one year period WMU has accepted 50 student interns.

Therefore, the MBKM team monitors and evaluates certified internship activities there, Monday – Tuesday (28-29/3/2022). They consist of Prof. Muhammad Halim Natsir, Prof. Budi Hartono, Dr. Agus Susilo, Fapet UB, Prof. Trinil Susilawati, Rizki Prafitri, PhD., Dr. Nanang Febrianto, Dr. Dedes Amertaningtyas, and Puji Akhiroh, M.Sc.

 On the other hand, the lecturer team had the opportunity to see the latest technology carried out by the industry. Of course, this is very useful for enriching lecture materials that keep up with the times and in accordance with technological advances made by the livestock industry.

The chairman of MBKM, Rizki Prafitri expressed his hope that MBKM activities at PT. Widodo Makmur Unggas can be upgraded to the entrepreneurship scheme and thematic KKN in the next semester. So that it can support the MBKM program to produce graduates who have high competence and competitiveness. (kik/dta)
