Socialization of Hybrid Lectures for Supporting Staff

Ahead of the even semester of TA.2021/2022, the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a meeting with all supporting staff Monday (31/1/2022). The activity discussed the hybridization of lectures and the introduction of elemental officials under the Rector.

Based on the Rector’s Decree number 40 of 2022, Aulia Dyanrosi, SAB, MAB, served as Head of the Administrative Section and Rurin Kurniasari, SP, as Head of the General and Assets Subdivision. And the Rector’s Decree Number 5 of 2022 re-appointed Ida Palupi, ST, as Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, Alumni, Cooperation, and Entrepreneurship Subdivisions. Khoiron Nisaa, S.Kom as Head of Sub-Division of Finance and Personnel.

 The meeting took place in the senate meeting room on the 6th floor and was chaired by the Dean accompanied by the deputy deans. On that occasion, Prof. Suyadi (Dean) said that the implementation of this lecture was hybrid. Namely, lecturers teach from campus while students take part in a combination of face-to-face (offline) and online, with a maximum number of participants of 25 students in class. Meanwhile, 100% of practicum activities are carried out offline. As a result, the duration of learning is shortened to 45 to 60 minutes per meeting.

“During the lecture, it is not allowed to use the air conditioner. The doors and windows of the room must be opened wide to get good air circulation,” explained Suyadi 

“Every break in the lecture session is used for room sterilization. We hope that this effort can reduce the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus during face-to-face lectures.”

 However, if some are exposed to the virus during the implementation during the performance, face-to-face lectures will be suspended for several weeks. Even-semester early classes begin on February 7, 2022, but are conducted online. Then in the second week, hybrid learning. (dta)
