UB Rector Review Hybrid Learning Preparation at Fapet UB
After undergoing online learning since the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, the government has now established face-to-face learning (PTM) for students after undergoing online learning. Responding to this, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) has prepared equipment to support smart hybrid classes and hybrid classes.
UB’s Chancellor, Prof. Nuhfil Hanani accompanied by Vice Rector I, Prof. Aulia Ni’am conducted a site inspection, Wednesday (19/1/2022). To see the preparation of each faculty to face PTM, which will start at the beginning of the even semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year, namely February 7, 2022.
However, learning activities will be carried out in a hybrid manner, meaning lecturers teach from campus. At the same time, students participate in a combination of face-to-face (offline) ) and online, with a composition of 50: 50. Meanwhile, 100% of practicum activities are carried out offline.
According to Deputy Dean I, Prof. M. Halim, hybrid PTM at Fapet UB is focused on second and fourth-semester students only. Most of the sixth-semester students took part in the certified internship program for the independent campus learning program. Then final year students can conduct thesis guidance offline or online according to an agreement with the supervisor.
“Currently, the distribution of PTM students with a composition of 50:50 is still being discussed by the internal management team of Fapet UB, whether it will apply to odd-even NIM or there are other options,” said Halim (dta)
