Commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held a national seminar on research results and community service (Semnas HPPM), Tuesday (23/11/2021) . The event was held online with the theme “Increasing Technological Innovation to Build Creative and Sustainable Livestock.”
The invited resource persons include Ir. Indyah Aryani, MM (Head of the Livestock Service Office of East Java Province), Prof.Dr.Ir. Sudirman Baco, M.Sc. (Professor of Livestock Production/Reproduction, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Hasanudin University), Ir. Didik Purwanto (Chairman of the PB Association of Indonesian Animal Husbandry Graduates), Ir. Yudi Guntara Noor, S.Pt., IPU (President of the Indonesian Sheep & Goat Farmer Association), and Prof.Dr.Ir. M. Halim Natsir, S.Pt.,IPM.,ASEAN Eng. (Professor of nutrition and animal feed, Fapet UB).
Meanwhile, parallel sessions were mapped based on eight areas of interest. These include management of ruminant livestock production, management of non-ruminant livestock production, nutrition and feed for ruminants, nutrition and non-ruminant animal feed, livestock reproduction and breeding, socio-economic and livestock agribusiness, processing technology and livestock products, and community service.
According to the chief executive, Dr. Sri Minarti, the output of this activity is to produce e-proceedings that have an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) or an international standard book number. The function of the ISBN is to provide an identity for a book title published by a publisher, to help facilitate the flow of book distribution because it can prevent errors in ordering books, and to provide a means of promotion for publishers.

participants of the national seminar were 113 from 14 institutions, such as the Livestock Research Institute, Bogor Agricultural University, Airlangga University, Andalas University, Kadiri Islamic University, Malang Islamic University, Jambi University, Wira Wacana Christian University Sumba, Padjadjaran University, Sam University Ratulangi, Samawa University, North Sumatra University, Udayana University, and Brawijaya University.(dta)
