The Form of Productive, Creative, and Innovative Young Entrepreneurs Through FKMB Mentoring

The New Student Entrepreneurship Festival (FKMB) is an activity organized by the Student Activity Unit (UKM) in the field of entrepreneurship, Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) named Barisan Orang Sukses (BOS). Aims to provide training on the manufacture of livestock products and product promotion in the bazaar for Fapet UB students class of 2020 and 2021.

FKMB has output as a medium for introducing and learning Business Plans in preparing participants to take part in the Student Entrepreneurial Program (PMW), the National Entrepreneurship Movement. (GKN), and the Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) in the future.

This series of activities includes mentor schools, seminars, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation (monev), and food festival (bazaar). After holding a seminar last week, the next event was mentoring which was held online, Saturday (30/10/2021). This activity is to convey information related to entrepreneurship in general and aspects that need to be considered in starting to make and market a product.

Carrying the theme “Forming Productive, Creative, and Innovative Young Entrepreneurs in the Digital Economy Era,” the speakers presented were senior BOS members who excel in national and international competitions. Among others, Sularso conveyed the Business Model Canvas (BMC) business plan, Erinda Ar Farya Salsabela about products, and I Putu Angga Mayobhayu Sumertha about marketing.

Sularso explained that the function of a business plan is to guide business activities that will be carried out or are currently running, so as to sharpen the expected plans, as well as a tool to seek funds from third parties (investors, financial institutions, etc.).

The points that should be included in the business plan are the title sheet (executive summary), opportunities (and offers), products/services provided/planned and organizational background, analysis of market conditions (internal and external), strategy formulation (marketing plan, organization, production), financial analysis and analysis of action plans, action plans, and attachments (terminology, supporting data, etc.).

Meanwhile, BMC is a basic template of a management strategy that is used in starting the initial design of a business or the development of an existing business. (dta)
