The implementation of the UKT to Relieve the Initial Cost of New Students

Single Tuition (UKT) is part of the single tuition fee borne per semester by students based on their economic ability. The UKT amount for each faculty or study program is different based on the determination of the Directorate of Higher Education (DIKTI).

The implementation of UKT is to provide opportunities for students who are less well off financially, improve the delivery of quality educational services, and foster a sense of solidarity and loyalty among students. So that it can ease the burden of initial entry fees for new students (maba).

This was conveyed by the Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Prof. Budi Hartono in the introduction of new student campus life (PKKMB), Saturday (21/8/2021). He and other deans were presenters at the online event.

Among them Prof. Suyadi (Dean) delivered material about the introduction of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry environment, Prof. M. Halim Natsir (Vice Dean I) regarding the academic system, Dr. Agus Susilo (Vice Dean III) regarding alumni and student affairs.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean II who is in charge of finance, general equipment, and personnel, conveys the cost of education at Fapet UB. According to him, the financial assistance given to UB students is in accordance with the Rector’s regulation in the form of temporary UKT exemption, UKT reduction, UKT grouping change, and UKT payment in installments.
