Interview Test as a Requirement to Become a Candidate for Doctoral Program Students

The requirements that self-selection applicants must meet for Postgraduate Doctoral Program (S3) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) are several points. Among other things, Indonesian citizens meet the requirements of the intended study program, physically and mentally healthy, and complete documents.

Documents containing recent photos, legalized diplomas and transcripts, academic potential test certificates, TOEFL certificates, academic recommendation letters, health and drug-free certificates, ID cards, permits/assignments for those who are already working, curriculum vitae, research plan synopsis, letter information on sources of funds, and other files required by the study program.

After uploading the document, participants must take an interview test as the final step that must be taken to become a prospective student (S3). The interview for the Doctoral Program in Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) was conducted online, Monday (7/6/2021).

The interview process was led by the Head of the S3 Study Program, Prof.Dr.Ir. Lilik Eka Radiati, MS.,IPU who was accompanied by Prof.Dr.Ir. Budi Hartono, MS., IPU., ASEAN Eng (Vice Dean II) and Dr. Agus Susilo, S.Pt.,MP.,IPM.,ASEAN Eng (Vice Dean III). Questions asked about educational history, research history, journal publication history, funding sources, and dissertation research plans.

Participant of the second wave of odd semester TA. 2021/2022 consists of two alumni of Double Degree UB and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

Prof. Lilik Eka explained that the doctoral position in the realm of education in terms of philosophy in the area of ​​discovery, a basic understanding of the field and the relationship between each field and human civilization, and growing new inventions (inventions). Meanwhile, in terms of PBM, it is a breakthrough that requires broad, complex and related insights into all fields of human life.

Meanwhile, the matrix of the process of completing doctoral studies includes lectures, qualification exams, pre-proposal Sidkom, research, results in Sidkom, seminar results, scientific publications in national and international journals, dissertation final exams, and graduation.
