Farewell to Memories from Retirement of Lecturers in Fapet UB 

Early 2021, Animal Science Faculty of Universitas Brawijaya (ASF UB) released two lecturers who have entered their retirement period. Both are lecturers with an interest in livestock production, Dr. Ir. Moch. Nasich, MS. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Luqman Hakim, MS.

The ceremony was lead by the Dean and his representatives which was broadcast virtually, via ZOOM and YouTube ASF UB channel, Wednesday, January, 20th 2021. That event was attended by lecturers and internal employees. 

Dean of ASF UB, Prof. Suyadi expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Dr. Nasich and Prof. Luqman who has devoted his knowledge and time, as a contribution to building animal husbandry. 

“This separation is not the end of everything, I hope the relationship will remain. And hopefully the dedication of the gentlemen is counted as charity by Allah SWT, aamiin. ” Suyadi explained

Meanwhile Dr. Nasich, who has devoted 37 years to become a lecture at ASF UB, expressed his gratitude as well as an apology to the government through the Dean and Rector of UB. Because according to him, many mistakes were made, whether intentionally or not, while being a civil servant.

In line with that Prof. Luqman expressed his gratitude for being part of the ASF UB family. He also expressed his gratitude to all the academic community of ASF UB and UB for their cooperation during pursuing a career that has been 40 years.

For him, disputes over differences of opinion in one organization or institution are common. Therefore, he also apologized for all mistakes and mistakes, whether he said and did deliberate or not.

Dr. Nasich work permit ended in November 2020. During his time at Faculty of Animal Husbandry he had tasted being Assistant Dean II, head of the livestock production section, to the chairman of the takmir of the Al A’raaf Mosque.

Meanwhile prof. Luqman as the fifth professor at the ASF UB, ends in early January 2021. He has served as secretary of UB research agency (1988-1993), head of UB research institute center (1994-2003), head of livestock production study program (1992-1994), head of the livestock genetics lab (2005-2010), member of the National Research Council of the Minister of Research and Technology (1999-2002), the commission for livestock breeds of the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry (2004-2013), the national research review team (2004-2020), and chairman of the UB Advisory Council (2019- 2023).
