Space Training to Introduce BOS Profiles and Motivate Organizational Leadership for New Members

The Barisan Orang Sukses (BOS) organization is holding XII training for new members of the 2021 and 2022 batches. The activities are divided into two types, namely spatial training and field training. Field training will be held on Friday (9/12/2022) then two weeks later there will be field training. The aim is to give birth to new members who have an entrepreneurial spirit and form a leadership spirit.

Taking place in the auditorium on the 8th floor Gd.V, this activity was attended by 71 participants. Inviting alumni as resource persons, including M. Ma’danil Fawaid, Ismail Yusuf, and Desy Ma’rifah. The material presented included the history of BOS, leadership, and loyalty in the organization.

BOS is one of the Student Activity Units (UKM) in the field of entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB). Formed on April 26 2012, the purpose of establishing this UKM is to hone and improve students’ soft skills and hard skills in animal husbandry entrepreneurship. BOS UKM has four scientific divisions that accommodate students in developing entrepreneurship. These divisions include CBC (Cattle & Buffalo Club), PC (Poultry Club), RPAC (Rabbit & Potential Animal Club), and APC (Animal Product Club).

Meanwhile the definition of leadership according to sources is the attitude of a leader who is used to influence other people in the group to achieve mutually agreed goals. A leader is not a matter of higher education, but because of hard work. Leadership must be honed continuously so that they have a good management mindset and are willing to make sacrifices.

Meanwhile, loyalty is a determination of ability from within a person to obey and be faithful in something. Attitudes of loyalty in the organization include, attitude of responsibility, willingness to sacrifice, and maintaining the honor of the organization. In an organization, there needs to be comfort created by good communication between members and mutual respect for each other’s opinions and having an open nature. (dta)
