Program Participant
The Professional Project is suitable for students who would like to experience an Australian workplace or volunteer activity in a meaningful way. Unlike an intership program, the participant will take an active role in setting the learning goals for their project through library research or survey projects on their topic.
Course Goal
The first goal of this four week program is to help students make significant progress in their English Language skills including accuracy, fluency, and cross cultural communication ability. The second goal is to provide students with a rigorous program to develop the skills neede to succeed in today’s global workforce. These skills include :
- Project planning
- Time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a work team
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Written and oral presentation skills
