Malang, November 22, 2024 – The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (UB), has established a strategic partnership with PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam Lampung to advance education and field laboratory development in the livestock sector. The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science UB, Prof. Halim Natsir, and the General Manager of PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam, Mr. Wiliam El Bulo, at PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam’s headquarters in Lampung.

This partnership aims to strengthen education and research in livestock studies, particularly in the development of the beef cattle industry. PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam will provide field laboratory facilities that will be utilized by students and faculty members for practical activities and research. These facilities are expected to serve as a platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-world industrial contexts.

Prof. Halim Natsir, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science UB, welcomed the collaboration as a significant step in advancing animal science education in Indonesia. “This partnership offers a great opportunity for our students to gain hands-on experience in the industry while enhancing the relevance and quality of our research to meet the needs of the livestock industry in the country,” said Prof. Halim.

Mr. Wiliam El Bulo, General Manager of PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam, emphasized the importance of synergy between academia and industry in creating innovative solutions to support the development of the livestock sector. “Through this partnership, we hope to contribute to improving the quality of education at the Faculty of Animal Science UB while fostering a skilled and industry-ready workforce in the beef cattle sector,” he remarked.

The partnership also includes internship programs and joint research initiatives between UB students and PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam, as well as the adoption of the latest technologies in livestock management. It is expected that this collaboration will drive innovation in the livestock sector and produce research that can be directly applied in the field, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia’s livestock industry on a global scale.

Through this collaboration, the Faculty of Animal Science UB and PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam Lampung aspire to advance the livestock sector in Indonesia, nurture competent future professionals, and foster the development of a more advanced and thriving beef cattle industry. tim/mtn
