Bojonegoro, May 15, 2025 — As part of the preparation for the 2025 Thematic Community Service Program (KKN-T), the KKN organizing team from the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya (UB), conducted a series of courtesy visits and initial coordination meetings in four sub-districts across Bojonegoro Regency. The visits took place on May 15–16, 2025.
The KKN team, consisting of Dr. Eko Nugroho, Awang Tri Satria, ME., and Dr. Faizal Andri, visited Tambakrejo, Ngambon, Ngasem, and Gayam sub-districts. They were received by the local sub-district heads or their representatives as follows:
-
Tambakrejo Sub-District: welcomed by staff on behalf of Sub-District Head Kasmari
-
Ngambon Sub-District: welcomed directly by Sub-District Head Ridwan Sayyadi
-
Ngasem Sub-District: received by staff on behalf of Sub-District Head Iwan Sopian, ST., MM.
-
Gayam Sub-District: welcomed directly by Sub-District Head Palupi
The primary objective of the visit was to establish early coordination and strengthen institutional ties between UB’s KKN team and the local governments, who will serve as key partners during the program implementation. The 2025 KKN-T is scheduled to involve nearly all students of the 2023 cohort from the Faculty of Animal Science and will be held simultaneously across Bojonegoro.
Dr. Eko Nugroho, Chair of the 2025 KKN Program, expressed his aspirations for the initiative:
“I hope that this simultaneous KKN program in Bojonegoro will enhance mutual literacy and understanding between students, lecturers, and local livestock farmers,” he stated.
This KKN program aims not only to allow students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings but also to empower local communities through participatory and sustainable livestock development programs. The initial coordination is expected to pave the way for a smooth and impactful implementation.
