Tambakrejo, November 26, 2024 – A total of 34 farmers from the Ustan Mandiri Livestock Farmers Group in Dolokgede Village, Tambakrejo Subdistrict, Bojonegoro Regency, officially graduated in a Field School Graduation Ceremony. This event was a collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya Malang, and Bank Indonesia of East Java Province, aimed at enhancing the capacity and competence of local farmers.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Brawijaya Malang, Prof. M. Halim Natsir; Assistant Director of Bank Indonesia East Java Province, Mrs. Tri Setyoningsih; Representative of the Bojonegoro Fisheries and Livestock Department, Mrs. Hefti; Head of Dolokgede Village, Mrs. Nunuk Sri Rahayu; and the Field School Team comprising Prof. Trinil Susilawati, Dr. Nanang Febrianto, Dr. Aulia Puspita Anugra Yekti, and Putri Utami, MP.
The ceremony began with speeches from various representatives emphasizing the importance of human resource development in the livestock sector. In his remarks, Prof. M. Halim Natsir stated that the Field School program was designed to provide practical training tailored to the needs of local farmers. “Today’s graduation is a tangible testament to the success of academic and financial institution collaboration in empowering livestock communities,” he said.
Mrs. Tri Setyoningsih from Bank Indonesia East Java Province added, “Bank Indonesia fully supports this program as it aligns with our mission to improve the welfare of rural communities through livestock sector development.”
Mr. Kisnadi, a representative of the graduating farmers, expressed his appreciation for the initiative, which he felt significantly helped farmers enhance their production outcomes and farm management. The graduating farmers expressed pride and optimism about applying the knowledge they had gained to improve the quality and quantity of their production.
With a total of 34 graduates, the event reflects the genuine commitment of all involved parties to support the development of the livestock sector in Bojonegoro Regency. Moving forward, this program is expected to serve as a model for other regions in fostering local livestock potential.
The event concluded solemnly with the presentation of certificates to the graduates and a group photo session. This Field School Graduation not only marked a milestone for the farmers but also represented a significant step toward rural economic development based on livestock. tim/mtn
