Commemorating 16 Days of Anti-Violence against Women (16 HAKTP) which falls every November 25 to December 10, Student Executive Board (BEM) Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held an online seminar, Saturday (3 /12/2022). This activity is intended for Fapet internal students and the general public.
The aim is to fade the negative public stigma regarding victims of sexual violence and bullying. As well as educating and increasing student and community insights regarding the women’s movement in Indonesia and the world. The event was packed with case analysis through focus group discussion and then discussed with the speakers. Adinda Valencia as the local Director of Hopehelps UB was brought in as the main speaker.
She advised women to report immediately if they were treated with violence and harassment. Because if the harassing party is left alone, it will continue to commit immoral acts and even other victims will follow.
“I really hope that if anyone is treated with violence and harassment, please report it, don’t be afraid! Whether that person is our boss or colleague, don’t hesitate to speak up.” said Adina (dta)
