February19, 2024, eleven students from the Faculty of Animal Science at Brawijaya University embarked on a journey to Japan to participate in an industry internship program as part of the 2024 Outstanding Students Facing Excellence (MBKM) Program. The selected students will undergo this valuable experience for the coming months.
In this program, students will have the opportunity to delve into the field of animal husbandry and related industries in Japan, a country known for its technology and innovation in the livestock sector. They will work in various leading companies and receive direct guidance from the dean of the Faculty of Animal Science at UB, Prof. M. Halim Natsir, and the vice dean for academic affairs, Rizkry Prafitri, Ph.D.

Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB, Prof. M. Halim Natsir, expressed his hope that this experience would provide students with new insights to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of animal husbandry. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining good relationships with the companies where they will intern and making the most of this opportunity to expand their networks and knowledge.
This industry internship program is part of UB’s efforts to provide holistic learning experiences to students, combining theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with practical experiences in the field, and broadening their international perspectives in the world of animal Science. (MT)
