The Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) held its routine management meeting on Monday (March 24) on the 8th floor of the Fapet building. The meeting, which began at 8:00 AM, was attended by the Vice Deans, Department Heads, Chief Administrative Officer (KTU), Subdivision Heads, and the PSIK Chair along with their team.
This session focused on a series of priority programs and new initiatives aimed at enhancing the faculty’s reputation and performance at both the university and national levels. One of the key topics discussed was the acceleration of faculty promotion decisions, which will soon be submitted to the Academic Faculty Council (SAF).
In anticipation of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration, Fapet UB is preparing a festive greeting video to be sent to Universitas Brawijaya as a gesture of goodwill and institutional solidarity.
A highlight of the meeting was the latest update from the Intelligent Livestock Industry Program (IPC), which is ramping up its social media promotion strategy to boost the visibility and competitiveness of this flagship program.
Additionally, Fapet UB is gearing up for the Ulin Award, a prestigious recognition for outstanding academic staff who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the faculty. The award is expected to motivate and inspire continued excellence within the academic community.
Facility management was also addressed, with plans to enhance the under-stair display area for improved aesthetics and functionality. Preparations for the post-Ramadan Halal Bihalal gathering, SAF meeting materials, and budget efficiency evaluations were also on the agenda.
Through this meeting, Fapet UB reaffirms its commitment to innovation and proactive leadership in facing future challenges. As a pioneer in sustainable, technology-driven livestock education, the faculty is strategically positioning itself to meet the demands of the modern agricultural industry. (dfh)
